Cultivating the Philippines with Biosphere Technology

The Philippines is known for its beauty and for having diverse resources, unique plants and animals, stunning sceneries and abundant land areas. These are the country’s treasures. But these treasures are in danger and these are being progressively more compromised as the population in the Philippines increases. Waste management and population growth are the two main problems in the Philippines.

Over the years, the Philippine Government has tried to reverse environmental degradation by introducing innovative institutional and legal reforms. In addition, in recent years, many donors have supported efforts to improve the overall environmental governance in the country by building the competence of the Environmental groups like DENR, local governments, local communities and NGOs and by supporting innovative partnerships among them. Despite of all these efforts, aptitude in environmental and natural resources authority still requires significant improvement, particularly in LGUs or local government units.

However, despite the government’s good intentions, rapid population growth, urbanization and industrialization have far outstripped urban environment services and weak natural resource management systems have led to rapid degradation of those environments too.

The Philippines seems to be on the brink of total decay, as a rising and industrializing country, it is experiencing all the opportunities intertwined with environmental problems. Its ecosystems are underneath diverse stages of stresses that threaten the welfare of the population.

Conversely, there is what we call green technology that can help us prevent the problems being faced by our country. Green technology is centered on sustainable development. One example of green technology is Biosphere Technology that uses gasification process which harnesses the combustibility of solid wastes to create a heat source that produces an extremely hot steam that will then generate green energy like electricity.

Biosphere technology will be deployed country-wide ensuring that all Filipinos will benefit from this technology. Society, well being and the environment here in the Philippines are intricately interrelated and complex. Joint efforts that address the density of these interrelations can improve our health, economy and future.

Biosphere Technology, a Green Technology towards a Green Planet

We are not exonerated in the fact that we are the ones who actually made the world as it is now. Waste management problem, pollution, depletion of natural resources, global warming, these are just few of the problems we are facing because of industrialization, rapid human population growth and advancements in technology.

And as these problems arise, it seems that some people are not showing any concern on the effects and the impact these problems will have to our environment and to us humans. If people will continue to neglect these problems, the earth that we live in may become extinct and we vanish with it too.

Good thing that other people are aware of what is happening to the world we live in and are taking steps to find ways on how to save planet earth from destruction. Campaigns about green technology emerge to educate, urge and spread awareness to people to go green.

The materialization of green technology (also known as clean technology) is bringing a promise of a healthier planet in addition to the growing businesses that can sustain its health and provide sustainable energy sources. We can no longer take for granted that pollution, the deteriorating natural resources and global warming can be set aside for the incoming generations.

Biosphere technology is a green technology innovation that converts wastes to energy. Biosphere technology can be the answer to the waste problem and depletion of earth’s natural resources we are facing today. It can play a big role in building a green future, society by society.

Green Living Starts at Home

Green living basically is making choices about everything while taking into account the welfare of our environment. Green living starts at home and within oneself, there are many ways that we can do to lessen our carbon footprint and this can also help us save money while helping to save planet earth.

We can go green living by following the ways listed below and turning them into daily habits.
  Reduce, Reuse and Recycle
o   Ending the “cradle to grave” cycle of manufactured products and creating new products from used products.
   Reduce energy consumption
o   Unplugging appliances from the outlet and turning off lights when not in use and using energy-efficient lighting like compact fluorescent light bulbs and appliances can save energy.
Be aware of chemicals in products
o   Use non-toxic products to prevent greenhouse gas effect.
Buying products that have minimal packaging
o   Packaging that uses biodegradable materials are environment-friendly.
Buying products that are durable and reusable
o   Products like canvas shopping bags, salvaged building materials and reconditioned electronics have less or no impact at all in our environment.
   Adapting to green technology
o   Making use of alternative energy sources such as solar panels to generate electricity.

This list just gives us few ways of many things we can do to go green living it is just a matter of looking for more ways and making those ways part of your daily habit.

Green Future with Biosphere Technology

Let us remember the huge price humankind has paid for the sake of development. Because of development the earth became polluted and caused harmful effects on all living things. But the greater impact is on us humans. Many died because of the development-driven catastrophes like pollution.

However, it is safe to say and we are fortunate enough that it’s not yet too late to save the environment. It’s not late for us to change and have a little civic sense, which can be of great help, in preserving the environment.

There are lots of green technologies that we can support to help us attain a cleaner environment. One is the biosphere technology. Biosphere technology is an invention of Dr. Chris McCormack wherein it is a form of green technology that makes use of a process called gasification process that controls the combustibility of solid wastes to create a heat source that produces an extremely hot steam that will generate clean electricity.
Biosphere technology turns waste to energy with zero greenhouse gas emissions. This technology will not only help us to have a cleaner environment it will also provide a cleaner source of energy like electricity that can help us save on our electricity bill too because of its lower cost.

We still have a bright future ahead of us so why not paint our future green? We can make the change today for a greener environment. Let us be advocates of green future, green future with Biosphere technology that is.

Green It with Green Technology

We humans always look for ways to make our lives easy. We wanted our everyday living and routines to be simpler, we want things to be easier for us in everything we do. That is why when technological advancements have been made and invented we were more than happy because these things will make our everyday living easier. But we never thought that these things will greatly affect our nature and even us human beings.

Today, having seen the damage brought by these technological advancements and human recklessness not only to our nature but also to us humans, we are becoming more and more aware of what we can do to hinder or at least lessen the damage done to nature. We are looking for alternate ways that are safer and less pollutant.

One way of helping to restore the beauty of nature and bring back its natural state is to go green. Going green by way of implementing the 3Rs which is reduce, reuse and recycle and also by being an advocate on emerging green technologies.

Chiefly, green technology is a technology wherein it is environment-friendly and is created and used in a way that it does not interfere with the natural resources of the environment and does not cause harmful effects on humans. It is an innovative way to make changes in our daily life making it easier yet has less or no impact on our environment at all.

Green technology is the future of today’s civilization. Its focal goal is to find ways to produce technology in such a way that it does not damage or exhaust the earth’s natural resources. Also, it is meant to be used as an alternative source of energy. So if you are thinking on how to save planet earth… green it with green technology.
